HEATING
The hot water will be on and the heating is on a timer, but if you need to boost the heat, then the thermostat is upstairs in the hallway, outside the bathroom. Just turn the bevel to the desired temperature.

 

GAS FIRE/HEATING - ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE WINTER
The gas fire is for coziness only - the main house heating is controlled by the upstairs thermostat. The gas fire is controlled from the timer switch located by the dining table. Please set the timer as needed, and remember to turn it off when you leave the living room or house. The flame control should be left on the lowest setting (see below).
Please also note - if the gas fire is used constantly, the rising heat will prevent the thermostat from controlling the house heating and you will find that some rooms do not get warm. Please use the main thermostat to control the whole house heat. Thanks.

AIR CONDITIONING - ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE HIGH SUMMER
The house remains nice and cool if the windows are left closed during the day, and open in the evenings. In addition, for those occasionally really hot summer days, we have provided an AC unit in the living room and fans in the bedrooms.
