TRASH & RECYCLING
There are 3 trash cans. 1 GREY animal proof for general waste bin; 1 BLACK for returnable bottles and cans; 1 BLUE for recycling paper and cardboard. These are located inside the shed/garage. Drink tetrapak cartons (milk and fruit juice for example) are not recycled here in Stowe so please put in the general waste. We have friendly bears and raccoons who like to raid the bins so please use the clips on the GREY bin and screw down the food waste bin (if you use it). Thank you.

FOOD WASTE
The kitchen sink has a waste disposal. Please use this for all small bits of food waste EXCEPT meat, coffee grounds, grease, bones and eggshells. The switch is located on the sink. Please run water before, during and after use.
Vermont requires by law that all food waste be separated from non-food waste and composted.
In the kitchen, we have provided a food waste countertop can (located under the sink). The green compostable bags provided should be used in this if needed. When full, tie the bag and place in the outdoor white sealed food container, making sure it is tightly closed.
